Did we hear you say pizza? Our Italian classic Tomato and Basil sauce is the perfect partner in your kitchen to make your pizza game strong! Now making homemade pizzas is made so much simply the Hungry Boo way!
Ingredients:
- Pizza dough (store-bought or homemade)
- Hungry Boo Tomato Basil Sauce
- Mozzarella cheese (or your favourite pizza cheese)
- Toppings of your choice (vegetables, roasted chicken, etc.)
- Olive oil (optional)
- Fresh basil leaves (for garnish, optional)
Instructions:
- Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven according to the instructions for your pizza dough.
- Roll Out Pizza Dough: On a floured surface, roll out your pizza dough to your desired thickness.
- Prepare Pizza Pan or Stone: If you have a pizza stone, place it in the oven to heat. Otherwise, lightly grease a pizza pan.
- Transfer Dough: Carefully transfer the rolled-out pizza dough to the prepared pizza stone or pan.
- Spread Hungry Boo Tomato Basil Sauce: Spoon a generous amount of Hungry Boo Tomato Basil Sauce onto the pizza dough. Use the back of the spoon to spread it evenly, leaving a small border for the crust.
- Add Cheese: Sprinkle your chosen cheese (mozzarella or a blend) evenly over the pizza sauce.
- Add Toppings: Distribute your favourite toppings evenly over the cheese (we recommend onions, bell peppers, mushrooms and sweetcorn). Get creative with a variety of vegetables, meats (roasted chicken, sliced salami), or other toppings you love.
- Optional Drizzle: For extra flavor, you can drizzle a bit of olive oil over the pizza.
- Bake: Bake the pizza in the preheated oven according to the pizza dough instructions or until the crust is golden and the cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Garnish: If you like, garnish the finished pizza with fresh basil leaves for a burst of flavor.
- Slice and Serve: Allow the pizza to cool for a few minutes, then slice and serve.
