- Salt to taste
- Fresh cilantro for garnish (optional)
Instructions:
-
Prepare the Vegetables:
- Wash and finely chop the carrot, potato, tomato, and onion (if using).
-
Sauté the Vegetables:
- In a large pot, heat oil or butter over medium heat. Add cumin seeds and let them splutter.
- If using, add chopped onion and minced garlic, and sauté until the onion is translucent.
- Add chopped carrots, potatoes, and broccoli to the pot and cook for 3-4 minutes until the vegetables begin to soften.
-
Add the Tomato and Daal:
- Add the chopped tomato and cook for another 2 minutes until it softens.
- Pour in the Hungry Boo Ready Made Ghar Ki Daal, stirring to combine with the vegetables.
-
Simmer the Soup:
- Add 2-3 cups of water or vegetable broth to the pot, depending on how thick or thin you want the soup to be. Stir well and bring the soup to a gentle boil.
- Reduce the heat and let the soup simmer for 10-15 minutes, until the vegetables are fully cooked and the flavours have incorporated together. Adjust the consistency by adding more water or broth if needed.

Season and Garnish:
- Taste the soup and add salt if needed.
-
Serve:
- Serve the daal and vegetable soup warm, with a side of bread, rice, or as is
