  • 3-4 florets of broccoli
  • 1 small tomato, finely chopped
  • 1/2 small onion, finely chopped (optional)
  • 1 clove garlic, minced (optional)
  • 1/2 teaspoon cumin seeds
  • 1 tablespoon oil or butter
  • 2-3 cups water or vegetable broth (adjust for desired consistency)
  • Salt to taste
  • Fresh cilantro for garnish (optional)

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Vegetables:

  • Wash and finely chop the carrot, potato, tomato, and onion (if using).
  1. Sauté the Vegetables:

  • In a large pot, heat oil or butter over medium heat. Add cumin seeds and let them splutter.
  • If using, add chopped onion and minced garlic, and sauté until the onion is translucent.
  • Add chopped carrots, potatoes, and broccoli to the pot and cook for 3-4 minutes until the vegetables begin to soften.
  1. Add the Tomato and Daal:

  • Add the chopped tomato and cook for another 2 minutes until it softens.
  • Pour in the Hungry Boo Ready Made Ghar Ki Daal, stirring to combine with the vegetables.
  1. Simmer the Soup:

  • Add 2-3 cups of water or vegetable broth to the pot, depending on how thick or thin you want the soup to be. Stir well and bring the soup to a gentle boil.
  • Reduce the heat and let the soup simmer for 10-15 minutes, until the vegetables are fully cooked and the flavours have incorporated together. Adjust the consistency by adding more water or broth if needed.
  1. Season and Garnish:

  • Taste the soup and add salt if needed.
  1. Serve:

  • Serve the daal and vegetable soup warm, with a side of bread, rice, or as is
